technical issues into everyday, easy-to-understand layman's language. She is the author of numerous articles on commercial real estate and local and state issues and is frequently interviewed for publication Her combined 11 years with Grubb & Ellis and Sperry Van Ness, two
major national firms, provided her with established national
relationships. Combined with her regional and local knowledge and her
record of civic involvement in California's Inland Empire, Ruby is
uniquely qualified to evaluate individual buildings, municipal holdings or large
portfolios.
Ruby is the founding and current President of Commercial Real Estate Women
(CREW) – Inland Empire.She
is also frequent guest lecturer on
commercial real estate finance and investment, serves as an expert
witness, sits on several non-profit Boards including the Editorial
Board of the Inland Valley Daily Bulletin and the Advisory Board for the University of La Verne's College of Business and Public Management and
is a recognized public speaker.In her
spare time she travels extensively, cooks, entertains friends, and uncorks wine.
Ruby’s
commercial real estate career began in earnest with the founding of Simpson
Good & Associates, Inc. in 1989. Simpson Good was a preeminent
leasing company for small in-fill office, retail and industrial sites in California’s Inland Empire throughout the ‘90’s. In
1998, Ruby joined Grubb & Ellis Company where she expanded her expertise to
include larger leasing assignments, as well as obtaining her CCIM designation
and transitioning into real estate investment sales. In 2002, Ruby joined Sperry Van Ness where she
specialized in the sale of office investment properties, using her broad
leasing experience to add value to her investment sales capability. In
2008 she founded Simpson Commercial Properties to take advantage of more than
20 years of advisory services that have been the backbone of her commercial
real estate career.
